How do I book a bag rental?
To book a bag rental, you need to register on our portal. Once registered, you can select the bag you wish to rent, choose the rental period, and complete the booking through our online system. Payment is required at the time of booking.
Is there a limit on how many bags I can rent?
Customers are limited to renting one bag at a time during the first six months of membership. After this period, you may rent more than one bag at a time, subject to availability.
What payment methods are accepted?
All payments are made in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express cards. Payments are processed through PayGate DPO, an approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks
What details are required for me to rent a bag?
We collect key information such as your name, address, identification number and contact details in order to properly service you in time as well as verify your details for our own security. You may read more about this in our policies located in our footer section.
How long do I get to keep my bag rental for?
You can choose to rent any available bag for 4 days, 10 days, or 30 days. The rental period and bag availability will be confirmed during the booking process.
Can I get my bag rental delivered to my door?
Yes, we offer delivery services to your specified address within Johannesburg, South Africa. We will be expanding to other areas soon. You must be available at the agreed address and time for both delivery and pickup. Delivery fees apply and will be included in your booking summary.
Rental Period & Pick up
What should I do if I receive a damaged bag?
If you receive a bag that is damaged, notify us immediately at info@thebagbaron.co.za. We will arrange for a replacement or repair and guide you through the return process.
What should I do at the end of the rental period?
You must return the bag by the end of the rental period. We will arrange a pickup at your specified address if you selected to delivery option. Ensure that all parts and accessories are included and the bag is in the same condition as received. Late returns will incur additional fees.
What if the bag is damaged, lost or stolen while I have it out on rental?
You are responsible for the bag during the rental period. If the bag is damaged beyond normal wear and tear, you will be responsible for the repair or replacement cost. In case of theft or loss, you must notify us immediately, and you will be liable for the replacement cost. We provide insurance coverage, but you will be responsible for the insurance pay-in amount. For theft, you must also file a police report and provide us with the stamped report.
What happens if I return the bag late?
Late fees apply for bags returned after the due date. If a bag is not returned within 5 days after the rental period, we reserve the right to charge the replacement cost of the bag. To avoid additional charges, please return the bag on time.
Shipping, returns, & warranty
Can I cancel my rental order?
Cancellations made 10 or more working days before the rental start date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 9 working days before the rental start date but before the item has been shipped will be eligible for a gift card to the value of the rental amount. Once an item has been shipped or collected, no refunds will be issued.
Where can I locate more information regarding the refund policy?
Our website is updated with various policies which can be found as links in the footer section. We request that for each bag you rent, you tick the terms of service block to show you agree with our terms of service.
